The System

A 12-month progression system that builds builders.

FoundrKids isn't a box subscription. It's a curriculum designed to install the builder mindset, one mission at a time, compounding month over month.

The BuilderOS Framework

12 months. 4 phases. One compounding journey.

Months 1-3

Foundation

Core skills: observation, problem identification, basic prototyping. AI coach introduces Socratic questioning.

Months 4-6

Building

Intermediate skills: iteration, testing, data collection. Projects increase in complexity. Portfolio takes shape.

Months 7-9

Integration

Advanced skills: systems thinking, optimization, real-world application. AI coaching deepens.

Months 10-12

Capstone

Capstone project: independent design, build, test, and present. Portfolio complete. Builder identity installed.

Inside a Mission

Walk through a real mission, start to finish.

1

The Mission Opens

Your child opens a Studio mission in the FoundrKids app and reads the mission brief. Spark, the AI build coach, is there from the first step. (Kit missions with physical parts arrive later, with FoundrKids Kits.)

2

The Build Begins

Guided by the mission objectives, your child starts building. The AI coach is available to ask questions — not to give answers.

3

AI Coaching Session

When stuck, your child asks the AI coach. The coach responds with Socratic questions: "What did you observe?" "What happens if you change this variable?" "What would a founder do next?"

4

Portfolio Artifact Created

The completed project becomes a portfolio artifact — documented and stored in your child's permanent portfolio.

5

Skills Logged

Skills from this mission are logged. Progress compounds with previous missions. Your child sees their builder identity growing.

The AI Coach

A Socratic tutor, not a chatbot.

Your child's AI coach asks questions, suggests experiments, and helps them debug — it never gives answers.

  • COPPA-compliant — designed for children from day one
  • 6-layer moderation pipeline — not just a filter
  • Constrained to mission topics — no off-topic conversations
  • Parent controls and visibility — you see what they learn, not what they say
  • No data sold — ever

The Portfolio

A permanent record of what they've built.

Every mission produces a portfolio artifact. After 12 months, your child has proof of what they've learned — not just memories.

3 months

3 artifacts

First portfolio entries. Foundation skills documented. Builder identity emerging.

6 months

6 artifacts

Skills compounding. Cross-project connections visible. Real problem-solving on display.

12 months

12 artifacts

Complete builder portfolio. Capstone project included. Science fair ready.

"Canceling means leaving this portfolio behind. Skills compound — gaps don't."

Between Missions

Learning doesn't stop when the mission is done.

Weekly challenges, app sessions, and portfolio refinement keep your child building between missions.

Weekly Challenges

Short, focused challenges that reinforce skills from the current mission.

Portfolio Refinement

Revisit past projects, add improvements, document learnings.
